The Pemiscot County, Mo., Health Center provides a wide range of services to monitor and promote health for area residents. Along with education and information, the center diagnoses health problems and hazards while mobilizing community partnerships to identify and solve them.

Center services include targeted efforts such as combating flu outbreaks, to ongoing efforts such as the popular Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program.

The Center focuses directly on a wide variety of health issues, while also linking people with needed personal health services and ensuring health care when otherwise unavailable.

The health department office is next to Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, while several services are delivered throughout the county.

Health services are provided to men, women, children and infants regardless of income. Health services include birth control, immunizations and screening for health issues such as blood pressure and blood sugar.

Our programs such as Women, Infants and Children (WIC) or the wide range of community health information efforts are also notable.
